Hi all I just want to point out that I'm am a Osx86 newbie and need help with an error i keep recieving when trying to boot from a usb hdd the error i get is /com.apple.boot.slist isn't found I'm using iATKOS v5i 10.5.5 and recently migrated from kalaway which i couldnt get to work either because of the similar error but this time i believe it was the /com.apple.boot.plist if anyone can help me I'd greatly appreciate it and really would like to get that iATKOS working but dont know which options to choice at installation time. Also I'm on a HP DV1000 model not sure of the exact kind but can check I'm just not near it

I also have this model (HP DV1000) laptop but I'm unable to get iATKOS 10.5.5 to work. I got iATKOS 10.5.4 running fine though. Maybe if you can provide your installation method and we encounter the same problem, then we can find a solution to the issue.

I just stumbled across your post (nearly 4 mos later). Did you ever resolve your com.apple.Boot.SList problem?

I also experienced the com.apple.Boot.SList not found error and resolved it. I installed Leo4Allv3 on a Gateway 838GM with an Intel D915GAG motherboard, two optical drives on the primary IDE channel and a SATA HD. To fix the problem, I removed the "slave" CD drive, changed the jumper setting on the DVD drive from "Cable Select" to "Master", and connected the DVD drive to the end of the IDE cable. I was then able to boot from the Leo4Allv3 DVD and install Leopard.

There is a search function for a reason, although telling you that its plist not slist might help.

They are writing com.apple.Boot.Slist because it says that.

Not plist ;)

I am having the same problem. DP35DP

Someone fixed it or knows how to?

Thanks,

Rodrigo

Yes. I do. As I stated in my reply dated April 9. I don't know if this will work for anyone else, but it worked for me.

Originally, I had a CD drive and a DVD drive on a single IDE channel. The jumpers on both drives were set to "Cable Select".

To fix the problem: I removed the "slave" CD drive, changed the jumper setting on the DVD drive from "Cable Select" to "Master", and connected the DVD drive to the end of the IDE cable.

I was then able to boot from the Leo4Allv3 DVD and install Leopard!

Your mileage may vary. Good luck!
