agent477
I had the same problem. You need to use a pre/post patch for it to work. Here's the guide: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=109102 Download These Patches: http://rapidshare.com/files/161457826/Comb...tches.1.2.0.zip Directions in short: 10.5.5 COMBO UPDATE NECESSARY FILES/INFO (GENERAL) 1) Download Pre Update and Post Update patch 2) Download the Original 10.5.5 Combo Update 3) Put all three files on your desktop!!! (a) Prepare for Combo Update ( Official Apple 10.5.5 Combo Update © Post Combo Update Patches 4) Install (a) first (no restart), ( next (no restart) , and last © and once finished customized install restart... Wait for second restart as usual from original update... 5) Make sure to install in order, and customize the Post Combo Update Patches... Good Luck JJ Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/140199-update-to-1055-aspire1/#findComment-995731 Share on other sites
hotai
Just make sure that you have some way to back up. You have to customize the install to get it to work with your specific hardware. I am still having troubles with mine trying to update to 10.5.5.
