corey12901 Posted December 8, 2008 Share Posted December 8, 2008 Hello, I've been trying to install Kalyway's 10.5.2 and every time I try I get com.apple.Boot.plist not found. I've also tried JMicron IDE DVD ppf patch for Kalyway 10.5.2. And still get the same message. I've re burnt the image a few times and checked the md5. I've searced the forums and google and youtube with not much luck. I've seen people say that you need a external DVD drive, I really hope that's not the case seeing I dont have the cash for one at the moment. Other people say that you dont that it shouldnt be a problem. I've also tryied to install iDeneb_v1.3_10.5.5. Tyied it normal and patched with no luck just hangs at the boot screen with the option to hit enter to boot or f8 to go to advanced install options. Is it even possable to install on this machine? Also there is not much options for the bios either. Its a AMD turion cpu with nforce chip set i beleave hence why i tried the patch with ideneb. If anyone has any advice I would apricate it so much. Thank you. It appears to be a problem with the bootloader. I believe I read you need a external drive to install it, but I installed it without the DVD reader. Try with leo4all, or LawlessPPC or a Zephyroth (sorry if I mispelled it) distro. You can always buy a cheap DVD reader, or try to install it in a external HDD case (they use ATA and the same Molex as HDDs use, so it may work) I am not a expert , but I had lots of problems with Kalyway and my AMD, so... Soundcard was working with crackling sound, but no I can't get it to work anymore.
