orobin
Hello, I prefer to open a new thread, because on this one : Tutorial: Install Retail Leopard on VMware Workstation it becomes long, and a lot of people have success in installing, so I prefer to do another post, and explain here with more detail what are my problems : I am working under vista pro, sp1, Macbook white 2Ghz, 2Gb of Ram, mobile intel 945 video card. I use Vmware workstation, 6.5.1 build 126130 I have put on a ftp directory one screen shot, and one video, of what I do during the install. may be it could help someone to understand what I do, and what is my mistake... the link is : http://orobin.free.FR/VMWARE I have downloaded vmware-darwin-100 I have launched the cmd file, under a cmd session. as you can see in the screen shot, it have worked well. after that, you can see the video I did : I have put the DVD in my drive, the windows part of the disc is recognised in the letter E I have double click on the vmx file. before recording the video, I have reduce the ram size, because I only have 2GB for my computer.... under vmware, I have click on play then, I have click in the VM menu, to cancel the installation of the vmware tool. then, I have clicked on the screen. I have pressed on enter, several times, but I never succeded in booting on the dvd. I have also tried several configuration for my dvd drive. nothing happen. How do you do to go on the next screen (I am talking about the screen where you can write 9f, etc...) ? thank you for any help. orobin
Hello, I am now able to go in the screen where you whoose you drive number. how can I know (with a tool ?) what is the nuimber of my dvd drive. I have tested everything since 80, to 100, in hexa (81, 82...8a, 8b, 8c.... 100) but my dvd drive was never found. if I write 80 : it seems to start the screen where there is hard disk listed, and you can chosse with the arrow the hard disk to boot. so, I think 80 is the start for my drives. thank you for any help.
