I have a Dell Inspiron 530 with the Q6600. I copied my iTunes library from my laptop to the 530, and it plays locally fine. The computer and the iTunes sharing name have both been renamed to be unique from my laptop.

Playing music and video via the iTunes sharing feature works flawlessly. I can connect to the 530, and the 530 can connect to my laptop.

But here's the odd things:

1) My roomate's Vista laptop can see my 530, but the 530 can't see his library. My MacBook Pro can see his library though.

2) iPhone Remote and AppleTV both can see my laptop, but cannot see the 530. I can't seem to get it to allow either device to setup on the 530, which was the main purpose of setting up the 530.

3) All computers but the 530 can send audio to the Apple TV and to my AirPort Express via the iTunes remote speaker option. The 530 doesn't seem to see it at all.

4) Briefcase (iPhone application) also cannot see the 530, but can see my laptop. My laptop however can connect to the 530 and view its drives just fine.

The fact that some of the computers can do things just fine makes me think its not a network issue. My main focus is really #2, I want the Apple TV to sync to the 530, and I want to be able to control it from my iPhone and send the audio to one of the remote speakers. I can't figure out why its not working on the 530.

What I've tried:

The 530 is running Kalyway 10.5.2, which was combo updated to 10.5.5. iTunes is the latest version (8.0.2). The 530 is wired via ethernet to an Apple Base Station (the first gen square one that can share hard drives) and is using DHCP. All the Mac laptops (there are 3) are using WiFi, the roomate's computer is wired to the same base station. Speedtest.net shows the speeds on the 530 the same as the other computers on the network, and I can access the computer via Remote Desktop and from within finder just fine.

I copied all the iTunes related files from my laptop over, including Library files and the Preference Files. The computer they were copied from works flawlessly, only the 530 has these weird issues.

Anyone got any ideas?
