enzo1
Hi m8’s I would like to know if someone could inform me about the best way of changing the format type from MBR to GUID. My system HD has 2 partitions (both in MBR). One for my Mac OSX iDeneb 10.5.5, and a second for different OS tests. I wanted to change my MBR to GUID partition table, and was thinking of cloning my system with CCC to the second partition, reformat the first in GUID, and cloning back my system to the first partition. Is this possible? Can I have two different partitions formats in the same HDD? Should I use an external drive? How could this work the best? Thanks in advance for your help. Dr. Hurt
You can't convert. You have to backup your data on a separate HD and repartition to GPT. enzo1
Thanks Dr Hurt for your prompt reply. Correct me is I’m wrong. I should clone my System to an external HD, boot from the clone, reformat my internal HD with GUID partition table, and clone back my system it.
