user555 Posted December 4, 2008 Share Posted December 4, 2008 okay so what i did was went wtih the 10.5.5 combo update from 10.5.2 kalyway and no it did not work so i reinstalled kalyway then i plugged in my other drive that i did the update on so heres my question... i had files on the hard drive they were located on the desktop / downloads / documents folders what location are those at? it updated so im assuming all the files arent gone because it says its using 40 some gigs so there must be files on there soo how do i locate these? yes i tried spotlight... any other ideas anyone ? user555 Posted December 7, 2008 Author Share Posted December 7, 2008 yes. it was a previous install but its okay i just went ahead and formatted and redownloaded all of my apps... i wouldnt mind to know how to find folders next time though.. are there hidden folders in mac? and if so how do you unhide them ? I don't remember what they are all called, since I do all my system maintenance from within the terminal, but you'll find one if you google it.
