harryw
Hi. Hopefully someone can help me with what I have to do to get this ISO working with an AMD64 and ASUS A8V Deluxe MB. Whenever I boot off the DVD created with the image I get part way through the install and I stop with a segment fault constantly being displayed. I have a NVidia 6200 AGP card, 1Gb RAM and a 20Gb PATA HD. I have tried the -v option but am none the wiser other than a problem loading the kext for the NVidia GPU. Kindest regards, Harry W. Sam0r
I downloaded this iso, although it seems to be corrupt for me. theSpam
Despite the name of this image, AMD CPUs do not work with it. kdolaac
Here's a step that worked for me *provided that you have another computer it worked on*. I have an AMD 3200, with a MSI RS482M4-ILD motherboard with 1 gig ram. i tried 10.4.1, 10.4.3, 10.4.4 and each time i would get half way done then a damm error. However i got it (10.4.3) to install on a old intel C, 1.7ghz, and i must say wow, its was fast and everything on it worked, network, usb, etc...., so after pondering if i should hack the computer out the window, i decided to take the harddrive that had 10.4.3 installed out of the intel c, 1.7ghz and place it in the AMD 3200 and boot up.............. And it WORKED. it booted very fast and its very stable no hangs or crashes. everything works except the audio. well maybe it will work or not but i guess it doesn't hurt to try...... looking forward to try 10.4.4 and still trying to get 10.4.5. cheers, kevin Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/13950-amd64-and-macosx1045universalinstalldvdintel_amd_sse3_sse2iso/#findComment-89102 Share on other sites
harryw
I was wondering if this ISO has been patched to work on AMD processors ? I not maybe I have to apply Maxxus' 'AMD_Enabler' patch. Can this be applied using a Windows XP system to the ISO and then burning the ISO to a disk ? I have an ASUS A8V Deluxe MB, A64 3000 processor with 1Gb RAM using the on-board Marvell ethernet.
