revengangel
Hi all I've tried to make a Time Machine backup, and my system got frozen. I restarted the system ( with reset because the operation system was completely unresponsive) After the reboot i realized that my backup HDD is gone. I can see it i Disk Utility, but its umounted. I tried to verify, the result: "2008-12-04 00:57:04 +0100: Verifying volume “DATA” Starting verification tool: 2008-12-04 00:57:04 +0100 2008-12-04 00:57:05 +0100: Checking Journaled HFS Plus volume. 2008-12-04 00:57:05 +0100: Checking Extents Overflow file. 2008-12-04 00:57:05 +0100: Checking Catalog file. 2008-12-04 00:57:18 +0100: Invalid index key 2008-12-04 00:57:18 +0100: 2008-12-04 00:57:18 +0100: The volume DATA needs to be repaired." 2008-12-04 00:57:18 +0100: Error: Filesystem verify or repair failed.2008-12-04 00:57:18 +0100: 2008-12-04 00:57:18 +0100: Disk Utility stopped verifying “DATA” because the following error was encountered: Filesystem verify or repair failed." I tried to repair, the result: "2008-12-04 00:57:29 +0100: Verify and Repair volume “DATA” Starting repair tool: 2008-12-04 00:57:29 +0100 2008-12-04 00:57:29 +0100: Checking Journaled HFS Plus volume. 2008-12-04 00:57:29 +0100: Checking Extents Overflow file. 2008-12-04 00:57:29 +0100: Checking Catalog file. 2008-12-04 00:57:37 +0100: Keys out of order 2008-12-04 00:57:37 +0100: Rebuilding Catalog B-tree. 2008-12-04 00:58:08 +0100: 2008-12-04 00:58:08 +0100: The volume DATA could not be repaired. 2008-12-04 00:58:09 +0100: Error: Filesystem verify or repair failed.2008-12-04 00:58:09 +0100: 2008-12-04 00:58:09 +0100: Disk Utility stopped repairing “DATA” because the following error was encountered: Filesystem verify or repair failed." I tried the verify and repair with disk utility , booting from the install DVD, but i got the same results. If anyone have any idea how to repair it please let me know, because on the HDD there are about 500Gigs of data, and i dont want to loose them. PS, sorry for my english.
