Qjimbo
Hi, I'm using an MBox 1 with Pro Tools LE 7.4.2, it works ok, however I'm forced to have a really large buffer size (1024) and occasionally the whole system will freeze during playback and complain with DAE Error 750. After googling this it seems to be related to USB, but I've got no idea how to fix this problem. It seems strange because I have a Core 2 Quad so that should be powerful enough to work with a low buffer. I'm using Kalyway upgraded to 10.5.5 and I'm using the Apple USB driver. Any ideas? Thanks! md08
Here's a forum post on Digi's site that might help if you have a Q6600: http://duc.digidesign.com/showthread.php?t=222671 Basically the programmers at Digi don't have a clue what they're doing unless they are working with their own HD chips. Switch to Logic if you want real performance, or change your DAE playback buffer to 2 RTAS processors instead of 4.
