I'm trying to test OS X via ToH_x86_9A581_RC2.iso on 3 laptops.

1) The most successful one has a

Intel® Pentium® M processor 2.00GHz

fpu vme de pse tsc msr pae mce cx8 apic sep mtrr pge mca cmov pat clflush dts acpi mmx fxsr sse sse2 ss tm pbe nx up bts est tm2

2GB RAM

Integrated Graphics Chipset: Intel® 915GM

This one loads all the modules, brings up the install GUI, disk utility creates a HFS+journal+case-sensitive partition, and install loads happily for quite a while. This takes long enough that I don't sit and watch, but when I come back its at a black screen with

system config file 'com.apple.boot.plist' not found

Any ideas on where I go from here?

2) This one is less succesful

Intel® Pentium® M processor 1.60GHz

fpu vme de pse tsc msr mce cx8 sep mtrr pge mca cmov pat clflush dts acpi mmx fxsr sse sse2 ss tm pbe up bts est tm2

1.25GB Ram

Integrated Graphics Chipset: Intel® 855GME

This one loads a bunch of modules, and then reboots never getting to the GUI.

The hardware is pretty similar to 1), any ideas on why it aborts before the GUI?

3) This one I didn't expect to work

Intel® Pentium® 4 Mobile CPU 2.00GHz

fpu vme de pse tsc msr pae mce cx8 sep mtrr pge mca cmov pat pse36 clflush dts acpi mmx fxsr sse sse2 ss ht tm up pebs bts

1 GB Ram

ATI Radeon Mobility M7 LW (AGP)

It aborts the same way as 2) after loading a lot of modules, but before the GUI. I didn't expect it to work because of the Radeon 7500 graphics chips, instead of Intel. Is that what's wrong? Is there a work

around?
