kinkster
Is it easy to install a new wifi card after you've already installed kalyway(10.5.1)? My current one is crapping out, so I'm wondering if I can just get a new one that's compatibile and install some kexts/drivers? thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/138833-getting-new-wifi-card-post-install/ Share on other sites
josephien
yep , if you're currently using one, just disable it or remove it, reboot in osx see if it's still in the network settings, if still there delete it , shut down install new card and reboot in osx with the -f flag, it should see it if it's supported by the installed kexts greetz Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/138833-getting-new-wifi-card-post-install/#findComment-982632 Share on other sites
kinkster
Hmm so are there probably kexts installed for allot of different cards? I don't want to just get some random card. and what does the -f flag do? josephien
the -f flag forces the system to reload kexts greetz Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/138833-getting-new-wifi-card-post-install/#findComment-984180 Share on other sites
