MysticBronx
Hi Guys! Having problems watching comics with iComic. I downloaded the App from Cydia...created the folder Comic with the right permissions with mobile finder...then i would send my comics with diskaid... first with the .cbr extension...it would say i have no comics in my Comic folder. second with the .zip extension it shows up, but doesn't open.... I would love someone to help me out here...what did i do wrong? Need step to step help on setting this up... and never forgetting i have a mac... Mystic... Voltic
Your problem is probably that you're trying to decompress a .rar file with a program that only supports .zip. iComic only supports zip, which means you can use .cbz or .zip A cbz file is a zip archive, while a cbr file is a rar archive, therefore renaming cbr to zip is not going to work... you need to extract it and re-archive it to zip first. Hope that helps, good luck! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/138569-icomic-on-iphone-3g-22-with-mac-install/#findComment-981181 Share on other sites

Voltic
Sorry, can't help you out there... Never had a problem where I needed to convert mass amounts of archives... heh, actually I rarely even create them at all. Voltic
Not sure if you noticed but I'm running 10.5.5 right now. I personally use BetterZip for all my file (de)compressing. What I was saying is that I have no use for converting a massive amount of archives between two archive formats. What kind of files are inside of the archive and how are they laid out inside the archive? Did you try setting permissions on the zip/cbz after you put it in the folder? Also, you might try a zip with no compression enabled. MysticBronx
Well I got Stuffit Deluxe 13 and solved my problems like a charm...after creating the zip file..transfered to my iphone /comic directory using diskaid, then i changed the permissions using mobilefinder. Result...it works! Now all i need is to fix the sedttings where i can use iComic like i would use fotos...swipe pages, double tap to ares i want to read.... thanks for everything! ansonkemp
I have icomic running flawlessly on my iphone 3g 2.1 except I cannot get the photo swipe to work. Is this feature only working on non 3g iphones?
