Hi guys.

In case you didn't know, the day before yesterday (April 1st) has been released a new Universal version of Mplayer.

Since the rendering of this media player is very good, I'd like to stream mms files in it. But they're not naturally supported. I guess we should download a certain codec in order to play them natively in mplayer. Does anybody know WHICH codec, HOW it is called and WHERE to download it from?

With Linux it was easier, in a way, because there are certain files to download and the indications about them are very clear. With my MAC Intel it seems a bit more complicated.

I hope someone knows.

In any case, have a great day! :happymac:

Also this time nobody knows?

Your answer is right on the page you linked to:

"Win32 codecs are not supported yet. Assembler code needs to be ported to the Apple assembler first. I've got it to compile, but it does not link due to missing symbols."

mms:// are typically windows media streams.
