Guilherme Matos
Hi guys, two months ago I sold my Mac Mini to built an Intel Hackintosh so I can keep my OSX and play my favorite racing sims on Windows. Everything did run fine (thanks to InsanelyMac Forum!), but now I'm planning a CPU upgrade. I'm currently on an Intel DualCore E2200 (2.2Ghz - 1Mb) and would like to get an E8400. Just like PCs, is it just to plug and play the new CPU or would I need any major adjustment under OSX? I really can't take any risks on this. Thx in advance Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/138481-dumb-question-about-cpu-upgrade/ Share on other sites
MacNutty
I dont think it will be a problem upgrading your processor. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/138481-dumb-question-about-cpu-upgrade/#findComment-980440 Share on other sites
AlpineRaven
A logic board model would be a good start.. Since some CPU needs correct FSB.
