On my GFX card (a GMA900), I'd been experiencing waaay to much mouse tearing/artifacts and I got sick of it. So I did some digging and came up with this:

I had been reading around about mouse tearing and discovered that is was the effect of the mouse cursor shadow. So I thought "Hmmm...what if I could hide the cursor and put a fake in its place?". Which led me to this: Using MouseLocator (with MouseLocator.png for a fake cursor) and Cursorcerer (to hide the real cursor) in conjunction, I discovered that mouse mouse tearing disappears 100%.

It's a little hard for me to explain, to ask questions and I can help. Also, I wanted to know what could be done with this to eliminate mouse tearing/artifacts. I have a GMA900 but this will probably work for others (on any card) who experience mouse tearing/artifacts. Thanks! Screenshots of the settings to use under the Cursorcercer and Mouse Locator Panel:

Cursorcercer: (UPDATE: The slider needs to be set to '1 sec', not 'Never'. Also, upon every reboot, you have to go to this panel and check and uncheck the option below.)

EDIT: Below I've attached the installer for both programs in a zip along with MouseLocator.png.
