Trying to install 10.4.3 Still. Either that or Torturing my Laptop. Using a 3.5 to 2.5 ide cable connector. Install first on to the laptop drive through a ASROCK OSX compatable system.

Booting the drive in the laptop the farthest i can get .

Subsequent boot usually gives up on :checking disk. The disk does report as ICH4.

 

booting -s single user has no keyboard or mouse. With external usb keyboard or not.

 

A recent Toshiba post mentioned deleting all firewire kext this didn't help. I gave up this install already but with the beta nvidia drivers workng on most FX5200 video card trying again in vain.

Not sure if I'm at all close but its much farther than the keyb_poll error if i boot from CD. If the nvidia driver could be compiled for 10.4.1 I'd consider re + re that verion.
