stuartornum
Hi, Im running MacOS 10.5.2 (Kalyway) on Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3, all running perfectly - Thanks to this website..!!! Although I do have two question that I reckon are quite easy to resolve. I bought a proper mac keyboard to use (I was in the market for a standard keyboard, so thought I would buy the real thing) its the MB110A/B. I have managed to get the volume controls (F10, F11 and F12) working fine with ControllerMate, however the F7 (Previous track), F8 (Play/Pause) and F9 (Next Track) only work if iTunes is the curent window. Is there a way to control iTunes (using F7,F8,F9) whilst having say firefox as the current window? In Linux I would probably have bound the key to a command such as when F8 is activated do "/Applications/iTunes -pause" ....... Final question: I have keys F13 -> F18 totally free, is there a way to launch an application on pressing the correspoding key? Thank you all in advance Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/138207-application-keyboard-shortcuts-using-proper-mac-keyboard/ Share on other sites
elkotur
Hello, under 10.5.5. I'm using the same keyboard (so smooth!!) with great succes. I can control iTunes by default, no configuration neede. Furthermore, to gain full control over your keyboard, you can read this http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2840 Regards, Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/138207-application-keyboard-shortcuts-using-proper-mac-keyboard/#findComment-996301 Share on other sites
hecker
Oh, man. I want that keyboard now.... I love the way it feels just like my macbook KB. As smooth as a box of baby ducks. How can Apple make such awesome keyboards but such crappy mice, I wonder.
