garabald1965 Posted April 2, 2006 Share Posted April 2, 2006 I GOT OSX 10.4.4 RUNNING ON MY PENTIUM 4 IT BOOTS IN ABOUT 15 SECONDS. ALL SEEMS GOOD EVERYTHING WORKS EXCEPT NO SOUND DEVICES. IM USING AN INTEL D915GAVL MOTHER BOARD WITH ON BOARD SOUND AND ON BOARD VIDEO. ZeDz Posted April 3, 2006 Share Posted April 3, 2006 Check the system preferences or system profiler, and see if mac os x detected a sound device. If not, you're going to have to play around with various kernel extensions by adding your hex device and vendor id to them and seeing what worx. I've jumbled my kexts around a lot, but still haven't got any sound output. Its a work in progress I guess...
