sthEn
INTEL PENTIUM Dual Core E2200 2.2 GHz LGA775 800MHz Socket 775 GIGABYTE GA-EP31-DS3L DIMM PC-800 DDR2 2x2048MB Kingston KVR800D2N5K2/4G HDD S-ATA II 500 GB SEAGATE ST3500320AS LCD 22" iiyama ProLite E2208HDS Black Ok, so now about the questions i have: 1. What GPU should i choose, to get LCD's native resolution (1920 x 1080)? Could it be something like Palit 8600GT Sonic+ or just to be sure - better 8800/3870? I don't have to play games, there'll be no MS Win at all, only OS X. I'm working on my 14" Thinkpad t61 with quadro nvs140 (mssql, damn problems with os x i suppose), so i don't need another windows installation. 2. Motherboard - i was reading quite a lot before now, and i don't think there should be any problems with EP31, especially that it's CHEAP. Correct me if i'm wrong, and if i should buy me a EP45 or sth. I recently sold my 13,3" White MacBook (it was pretty ), and i miss leopard a lot. Help me please, i'd like to buy whole thing in few next days, and i have to be 100% sure. And sorry for my english, i'm foreigner. EDIT!! Ok, second option is to 'go for it!' and buy something much faster. I'm thinking about Q6600 and 8GB RAM (so EP31 is no longer an option) + Radeon HD2600PRO/XT. Question still's the same - what motherboard? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/138031-rather-cheap-hackintosh/ Share on other sites

I can get a good price on this one. yes, the EP45-DS3R should do quite nicely if you can get a good deal on it. the EP35 boards are the old lineup, and can be difficult/impossible to find new nowadays Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/138031-rather-cheap-hackintosh/#findComment-978082 Share on other sites

Pier Luigi Fiorini
I'm finally going with Q6600, GA-EP35-DS3L, 8GBRAM, 3870/8800GT. Wish me luck. I found one in an Italian online shop and it doesn't cost much (about 50 euro). Have you had any luck?
