okimasa
Hi I've just completed the installation of iDeneb's OSX86 Leopard 10.5.5 It went off without a hitch to my surprise, and also Vista and all my files are still intact. So why am I posting? Well, it wont run! I followed the extremely helpful instructions from the OSX86's installation guides for beginners and it was perfect until I got to the part "Now all you need to do is set up the Leopard Basics." My computer reboots, shows the Apple logo and that little thing spinning under it, then it goes to either a light blue or black screen and shows the cursor in the corner, occasionally doing that multi-coloured spinning thing. Sometimes it will play that start up song that Apple used in the iMac commercials about a year ago, sometimes not. My computer is an Acer Extensa 4620. Thank you for any input or recommendations! Even just a vague thought would be appreciated! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/137900-good-installation-then-problems/ Share on other sites
MacNutty
Might be problem with your graphics, try booting with -x (safe mode) option. okimasa
Thanks! Actually, I eventually stumbled upon -x. Everything works fine in Safe Mode, so I still have to wonder about why it doesn't work in normal mode.
