My biggest concern is the vid card. BTW i noticed newegg does a bunch of bundle saving thing, Do you think if i called them i could get more a discount, as some things can be bundled? LogicalUser Posted November 21, 2008 Share Posted November 21, 2008 overall, looks great, that mobo is a popular one here. my only real concern there is that the specific 9800GT you chose has 1GB rather than the more common 512meg of RAM. i do not know enough to tell you if you'll have issues with it with a modern 10.5.5 install, only that i have seen ppl here with other cards with extra RAM having difficulties in the past. Thanks for the input A gig of ram is mostly useless on video cards, unless you are running at such high resolutions and with so many bells and whistles, that you need SLI or a more powerful card. It's not necessarily a problem, but it's not worth paying extra for.
