gian Posted April 2, 2006 Share Posted April 2, 2006 i have a p4 3ghz ht, and an nvidia 6600 pci e 256 graphix card, im running osx 10.4.5 but my cpu temp is always at 102 f, it usualy throttles at 90 / with out ac on, and in the high 70;s to mid 80;s with ac on, (exos 2 watercooling system) in windows xp, and when im using all my processing power, either playing a video game or rendering movies, it gets only up to 106 f in xp, but in osx it is at 102-106 f throttleing....what can cause this Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/13752-cpu-temp-question/ Share on other sites More sharing options...
U.C. Posted April 2, 2006 Share Posted April 2, 2006 dood 106f is approx 41 C. Wht r u cribbing about? Most cpu's easily handle upto 90 C. As for the OSX, high cpu usage due to all the cool visual effects, is causing ur temp to rise.
