4 DOR VTT
First off you guys are great! I just installed iATKOS 4 and my M1330 have every thing running except the eithernet and I know it won't work so no biggie. My question is I can't get my video to allow me to play any DVD's in OS X or on the VMware setup of Windows Pro, any ideas what I have done wrong? I have the resolution set to 1280 x 800 and it seems that my video is working great but when I try to play a dvd it tells me my video cars dosen't support it. I also can't run apeture for the same reason. Here is what my Hackintosh says about the video: Chipset Model: Graphics by NVIDIA Type: Display Bus: PCIe VRAM (Total): 128 MB Vendor: nVIDIA (0x10de) Device ID: 0x0427 Revision ID: 0x00a1 ROM Revision: NVinject 0.2.1 Displays: Display: Resolution: 1280 x 800 Depth: 32-bit Color Core Image: Not Supported Main Display: Yes Mirror: Off Online: Yes Quartz Extreme: Not Supported Display: Status: No display connected Also how do I know it is using both cores of my processor? My specks are: Core 2 Duo 2.49 Ghz 800Mhz FSB 4 Gig of Ram @ 667 320 Gig HD 7200 RPM 128 MB NVIDIA GeForce 8400M Dell 1395 Wireless G Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/137264-iatkos-dell-m1330/ Share on other sites
wingrunr21
Check system profiler to ensure it is detecting both CPU cores. As for DVDs, what program are you using? Have you tried VLC? 4 DOR VTT
According to this I think it is using both cores? Hardware Overview: Machine Name: Mac Machine Model: MacPro3,1 Processor Name: Intel® Core2 Duo CPU T9300 @ Processor Speed: 2.49 GHz Total Number Of Cores: 2 L2 Cache (per processor): 6 MB Processor Features: FPU VME DE PSE TSC MSR PAE MCE CX8 APIC SEP MTRR PGE MCA CMOV PAT PSE36 CLFSH DS ACPI MMX FXSR SSE SSE2 SS HTT TM SSE3 MON DSCPL VMX EST TM2 SSSE3 CX16 TPR PDCM SSE4.1 Memory: 4 GB Bus Speed: 800 MHz Boot ROM Version: MBP41.88Z.00C1.B00.0802091544 (Dell Inc.) And yes I tried VLC and got sound but no video, I also tried the DVD player with in Leopard but it would crash with every try. My home PC DELL 530 runs it perfect from with in VMware fusion but it too won't play from VLC or the Leopard DVD player.. Any ideas? Once again thanks for all your posts and any help would be great as well. I think you learn more ready than just asking questions but I haven't seen any write ups on DVD playback?
