madman80
check on "my mac info" if you have QE and CI supported in the graphics section. I think you need QE and CI to VLC play. framebuffer
Hi! I dont think I have QE enabled. I am using a sapphire ati radeon 2600 pro. Is there any way to enable that? I have used OSX tools to enable GL though. I have also tried all output modes of vlc. Only the ascii text mode is working but is of no use to me. Thx, fb. madman80
I only can say that I had exactly the same problem. Only ascii output in VLC and I no QE CI enabled. I fixed the QE CI of my nvidia 8500GT and VLC worked again. framebuffer
Thanks Synaesthesia for the link. I had already followed these steps. The problem is that when I reboot Leopard tells me something regarding Natit and that leopard cannot use this extension because its corrupt or something. Then I just used kalway 10.5.2 and used its ATI drivers during a custom install. Is their any way I can modify my current installation? I even tried a tool to enable EQ but it didnt work. UnaClocker
Try downloading iDeneb 1.3 from the usual source, it's 10.5.5 out of the box, and it has some ATI drivers available in the installer. OS X is definitely only half working when you don't have CI/QE.
