sapsi
Hello, I could not find the answer to this question however if already posted my apologies. Also many thanks to all developers and users for this project. I have used iAtkos 10.5.4 (iATKOS 4i.iso) to install OSX on a DELL 630 (2GB, graphics intel crestline (bios 1466) audio=sigmatell 9205) (in the bios, i turned of firewire and am using ATA mode not AHCI). It installs smoothly ( i used the stock files as in the video that was present) but when I boot up, after the blue screen, the screen turns black. Its still running (i ejected and inserted the dvd and heard a lot of whirring noises as if it were being mounted). Nothing I do turns the black to some other color. Is there something I'm missing? Many thanks for your help and sorry if this has been tackled. Gujal
Yep, you need to connect an external monitor and install patched AppleIntelIntegratedFrameBuffer.kext. After that reboot and you dont need external monitor anymore. There is a full thread dedicated to Dell630 and 830, refer to it if you need more information Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/137013-black-screen-after-installation-iatkos-1054-on-dell-630/#findComment-969758 Share on other sites
