Andy Vandijck
Use stuffit expander or console rar to extract. These are my self built ATA drivers, tested on SB450 ATA + SATA. Archive is split into two parts... Prebuilt and ready content is in the IOATAFamily.kext. ATA_Drivers.part1.rar ATA_Drivers.part2.rar IOATAFamily.kext.zip Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/136896-ata-drivers-designed-for-sb4x0/ Share on other sites

schady4
is there going to be any support for sb600 sb700 chipsets? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/136896-ata-drivers-designed-for-sb4x0/#findComment-1032875 Share on other sites
Andy Vandijck
is there going to be any support for sb600 sb700 chipsets? Well in theory it supports almost any ATI SBXX0 card since I've recently done some very simple mods to these to get them working on other ATI HD controllers. Needs code mods though... Thanks Andy for the reply, there are a couple members of the site that have sb600 chipsets on acer laptops that can't even load disks to the gui install screen. Tiger works but leopard has issues even getting to the install screen. If this works many thanks in advance. And if you need anything device id's i can provide some from my computer at least. sackie
Thanks, I just removed my laptop install because it was too slow and I needed space for the windows 7 beta, but I think it was slow because of the ata drivers so will reinstall it soon with these drivers.
