Hi to all, I'm trying to install MAC OSX on my WD Raptors SATA on Intel ICH9R, I tryed Kalyway 1.5.2, I've created my RAID set on the MAC OS installer, it installs on but cannot boot (maybe a bootloader is missing??). Everything in Bios is set to AHCI. Now I got kalyway installed on one raptor with the other hd free. I'd like to create a raid volume with both hdd's.

My PC:

CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300

RAM: 2x1Gb 1200Mhz

MB: ASUS P5K-E

HD: 2xRaptor 10k RPM 74Gb

VIDEO: 8800GT 512Mb

Thank u very much

Bye all.

PS: I'm sorry if my english is not perfect, but I'm italian :P

Did you change RAID options in the BIOS ?

Did you re-specify the RAID setup as your boot drive?

Did you reset the boot order to boot from the RAID array first?

I assume you have matching HDs for the RAID and that you hit CTL-I to set up the RAID. Make sure your hard drives are on SATA1 and SATA2 and that your dvd drive is on SATA6, NOT on the black jmicron ports. It doesn't say so in the manual, but it should.

java script:add_smilie(";)","smid_1")

If I set up in the Bios the disks to RAID and I create the volume from the Ctrl-I menu, mac os installer only see 2 raptor 75gb instead of the stripe volume, so I tought to make the raid set from the mac os installer, but it won't boot ... do u think could be the kalyway? I'm getting the iDeneb to try with it... maybe I have to customize something to install on the RAID volume?

For the chipset I have disabled jmicron eSATA/PATA controller from the MB bios, hdds and dvd drive are on the intel ich9r chipset.

Please help, I have my two raptors on SATA1 and SATA2 and the DVD Drive on SATA5 (all red), I tried to install using RAID setting from BIOS and to set up my raid0 array from Intel ROM, but the installer shows 2 separated HDDs, tried to make raid in the leopard installer (ideneb v1.3), it installs but no boot. So I tried to install in both modes AHCI and IDE with no success in both tries. Someone had success installing macosx86 on a raid array???

PS: No problem installing leopard on a single disk
