Adrimaxi
Here is a dumb question, it's been a long since I didn't install osx86: how to re-install ktext after upgrade. I did an update from a working Kalyway 10.5.2 to 10.5.5 with the comboupdate with this method Open Terminal sudo -s>*type password*> while sleep 1; do rm -rf /System/Library/Extensions/AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext; done Open 10.5.2 Update Installer Run update BUT DO NOT RESTART Go back to your terminal and press Control C to end the script In terminal type: nano /System/InstallAtStartup/scripts/1 Replace the line Dont Steal Mac OS X.kext with dsmos.kext Restart and boot with -v It will start loading and then you will get the message MACH_REBOOT, there you can hard reboot your computer. When you reach the darwin boot screen again, boot with -v again just for safe measure and it will boot fine. But now I remain with no network (PCI-E Lan Adapter Marvell Yukon 88E8056) neither keyboard (PS2) it's quite bad... I have a backup of my 10,5,2 ktexts, how can I do to restore it... (I also have an USB keyboard) Please help me Adrimaxi Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/136621-1052-to-1055-lan-and-keyboard-out/ Share on other sites
josephien
for keyboard use old appleps2controller.kext and/or acpips2nub.kext (easy install with kext helper) and always backup current kexts you'll never know greetz Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/136621-1052-to-1055-lan-and-keyboard-out/#findComment-967719 Share on other sites
