10.5.2 kalyway problem

Alright I am trying to install 10.5.2 to a Toshiba M35x-S1142. Things seem to go well for a bit then everything comes to a halt with the message " localhost ReportCrash[71]: mkdir() failed to create /Library/Logs with error: Read-only file system"

 

Ive done what the guide on x86wiki told me to but every time I get the same message and it never goes further than that. Any idea whats wrong or what Im doing wrong?

 

I have a feeling it has to do with the partitions and such. And is there a way to install just kalyway 10.5.2 without having to have XP already on the machine?

 

hopefully its just me being tired at 3:30am and looking over something and you guys will point it out quickly.

And does anyone think a different version of OSX would work? like 10.4 or something of the sort. Ive searched and no one has done this with this model laptop. I think i saw one person did it with a m35x but not the same type as mine.

Do you get this message when booting the drive after installing, or while you're booting from the disc?

I don't think the OS version is a factor unless your machine is aging. However, some versions of 10.5.2 don't play well with some computers. You might have to try iAtkos or Leo4All rather than Kalyway.

You should also find out the components in your laptop, as this will also help solve issues with installing.

I get the message when booting the CD. I guess ill look around for the other versions of osx also to see if that works.
