JaE-V
Is there anyway to roll this {censored} back? I've tried restoring the IONetworkingfamily.kext, IOPCIFamily.kext, IO80211Family.kext, and the AppleAirPort.kext from an original install dvd but i still cant turn my airport on. Anyone have experience with this or know what files in particular it affects? Obviously it was working perfectly fine before the update. Thankss Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/136135-airport-update-2008-004-killed-my-wifi/ Share on other sites
JaE-V
*edit* fixed it. lol If you guys ever happen to install the airport utility updates and it breaks your wireless you'll need to restore IONetworkingFamily.kext and IO80211Family.kext from the original install disk or previous backed up version. I just was restoring the wrong IOnetworking one which led to my issues, i'm back up and running now. Guest BuildSmart
What??? Restore to an older versions is not required, make sure the pci14e4,4329 is in the /System/Library/Extensions/IO80211Family.kext/Contents/PlugIns/AppleAirPortBrcm4311.kext/Contents/Info.plist file and wireless works.
