dmckenzie
Hey you all! I have an AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+ processor, GA-M52S-S3P motherboard, Gigabyte nVidia 8800GT/256Mb graphics card. This motherboard has nForce 430 chipset, and an integrated GF6100. I had mouse tearing randomly occurring before I found out about booting with cpus=1 flag. I'm using iDeneb 1.3 10.5.5. Kernel 9.4.0. My question is, what does mouse tearing have to do with the number of cores being used? What can be done about this? How will I be able to use both cores and save myself from this tearing issue? Thanks a lot in advance! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/136087-mouse-tearing-on-amd-dual-core/ Share on other sites
MGJulius
Hey, The mouse issue has to do w/ the timing issues between the 2 cores. Use the voodoo 9.5 beta 2c to fix this issue Good luck and pm me for any info Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/136087-mouse-tearing-on-amd-dual-core/#findComment-964041 Share on other sites
