thebluecoat
I attempted to instal iDeneb 10.5.5 on my Acer Aspire 5735-4624. System Specs: Intel Dual Core 2.0GHz 2.0GB RAM 160GB HDD Intel 4500M Integrated Graphics Atheros Wifi a/b/g - AR5B91 Ethernet: Marvel Yukon (all I know) In customize I tic'd Atheros Wifi driver + Marvel Yukon. Installation still hangs when I click "Do not transfer my information now" and goes back to the welcome screen. I've read thus far that it's a network driver problem, so what the heck? Any ideas, point me in the right direction? pax1234
Your network is not up is the rason for the loop. You need to boot using "-s" flag at the Darwin prompt. When loading stopped, type the following commands. /sbin/mount -uw / passwd root -----Type any password you wish here touch /var/db/ .ApplesSetupDone reboot This steps would by pass the account creation to let you on to the desktop. oldtopman
Try ]this. pwd has nothing to do with passwords, it means PrintWorkingDirectory. If i'm in my home folder and my short name is oldtopman, and I typed pwd it would say /Users/oldtopman Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/135892-installation-hangs-on-do-not-transfer-my-information-now/#findComment-1473365 Share on other sites
