Steven2k7
I'm looking at getting a TV capture card that can capture from both cable and over the air in 1080i. I've been looking around newegg, and its hard finding one that would be compatible with both Leopard 10.5.4 (main use for now), and Windows Vista. The first one I was looking at was the EyeTV, but its not comptable with windows (at least according to their website). I've also seen this one from Hauppauge, but I dont know if its compatible with Leopard. Does anyone have any recomendations for one that will work with both Vista and Leopard? As far as price goes, the cheaper the better, but I'd prefer no more than $130. Thanks. MacUser2525
I've also seen this one from Hauppauge, but I dont know if its compatible with Leopard. I have that stick it works fine although I have never used the HDTV feature of it so cannot say how that part works no clue on the vista idea either, it did work with XP when I tested it there. Steven2k7
How about this one? The reviews on it look a bit better, and it supports QAM. One of my main concerns is getting software to work with it. I would like to get a dual receiver if I could so I could record two shows at once. Would a PCI express card work, or should I stick with USB? Steven2k7
Well I ordered this one and so far it works great. The included antena isnt anything to write home about, but it did pick up a few channels. I hooked up one of my own antentas and installed EyeTV, and it picked it up right away. It didnt take long before I was watching and recording random shows. My only complaint is it has a hard time switching from analog to digital. When I scaned for channels in analog only mode, it picked up more channels than my samsung TV did, but for some reason it wouldnt let me have both all digital and all analog.
