Hi,

I got a new Acer 5220. I installed OS X with the Leo4All Image, because the graphic drivers are working better than with the other images. Everything works fine since I installed the 10.5.4 Update, after this update I had to restart my notebook sometime to get a correct image. The syntomatic is that I switch it on, it boots an at least it should start the gui, but there is only some pixels or everything is white with some color stripes. After that, I shut it off and turn it on again, sometimes it works than sometimes I have to shut it down again!?

Does somebody know this problem and could help me?

Sorry for my bad english!

I have exactly same problem, but with 10.5.3 update.

I have Acer extensa 5220 with kalyway 10.5.1 --> combo update 10.5.2 --> combo update 10.5.3

the only solution for at the moment is booting up with -f, eighter normal mode or safe mode doesnt work.

try to press F8 at boot screen and then type -f and wait for it to boot. if it's fine add the -f value to com.apple.boot.plist so that it always boots with it. i dont know any other solution to this, since even reinstalling drivers and deleeting kexts etc didnt work for me.

i know thee reason for this is that something is wrong with the extension cache, and rebuilding it (-f) everytime you boot fix it for the time being.

anyone have any solution for this?

OK, I don't like it to work with the "-f"-option, so I burned the Leo4All Image again on a normal DVD+R disc, and now I haven't the problem. BUT I haven't updated to 10.5.3 or newer, so maybe it came up later again?

Can someone post me an Rapidshare or Torrentlink to the Leo4Allv3 Version? I think I got only the v1 or v2 :rolleyes:
