Hello, and thanks for reading!

Please help me if you can, I'd appreciate it a lot!

I have mouse pointer problem with my iDeneb 1.3 installation. After quitting the screensaver my mouse pointer becomes very fast or something, so when I move it in a direction, it jumps all the way to the edge of the screen. I've read around the forum, that it's connected to the graphics card driver some way, but I was unable to fix it since. Also, the music playback is laggy while the mouse pointer jumps around. I don't really know what solution there is, but it's really getting annoying.

My system specs are:

Proc.: AMD Athlon 64 X2

Motherb.: GA-M52S-S3P (rev. 1)

Graphics: Gigabyte nVidia Gf8800GT 256Mb

Sound: ALC883

Chipset: nForce 430

There is an integrated nVidia Gf6100 on the motherboard also.

Once again, I'd appreciate every bit of help here! Thanks!

Did you find any solution? i think this is a smbios or some cpus issues. I hope that someone will read this posts and replay ;)

This actually seams to be an issue with the newest update to quicktime and or itunes. when either is open, there are mouse issues. try closing them to see if the mouse behaves itself. people have reported that replacing core components of quicktime using the ideneb install dvd and pacifist get things working again.

Had the same problems here after installing a clean iDeneb 10.5.6. Replacing the Quicktime stuff fixed it. (8600GTS 256MB, nvinject)

Would you mind being just a bit more specific on what stuff you changed on quicktime. I seem to be having this issue as well and is rather annoying. The curious thing is, it only started to happen once i got both my cores working on my rig. Thanks in advance...

Ugh, i can't find the thread. You are looking for a older version of Quicktime/iTunes, which replaces the new Driver kext for this card - This new driver enables some decoding through the gpu, and this makes the mouse go jumpy. But as i searched this thread again i noticed some new solutions: You can flash your 8800GT with the originial Apple Firmware, or just do this: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...p;#entry1074361 This also disables the new decoding stuff but apparently leaves the driver kext where they belong.
