    i have been contemplating that, i think i might have to just to.
  2. AMD and Retail Snow Leopard 10.6.5 --> 10.6.8 Final[GUIDE]

    Yeah i been reading that is working for alot of people, and i've tried many guides that some have posted and it works for them, but i have no idea why it wont work for me. I thought maybe i was doing something wrong, but i guess i will be stuck with cog. Thanks for the help.
  3. AMD and Retail Snow Leopard 10.6.5 --> 10.6.8 Final[GUIDE]

    Sorry forgot to mention i am already running that kernel. Even with 10.2.0 i was unable to run itunes. I thought that updating the kernel as well as itunes would help, but no such luck. One more thing, itunes does not open on x64 or 32 bit.
  4. AMD sysenter trap patch (10.6.4)

    How would we remove the code signature? Do you have a guide or a link on how to accomplish this? Thanks for the help.
  5. AMD and Retail Snow Leopard 10.6.5 --> 10.6.8 Final[GUIDE]

    is there anything else we can try to get itunes running? I've tried plenty of other methods and nothing seems to work. I've tried using Marvin's AMD utility, doing one by one step process, and tried different versions of itunes but to no avail. I hate using cog, is not that great as a media player. Here are my specs SL 10.6.4 Gigabyge GA-MA790xt-ud4p AMD Phenom II 945 8gigs 1066 ram, 250 hdd, ATI 5770. Like i said, i have tried searching all over this forum and osx86.net as well as google, but all the methods provided require either the maxxus patcher or Marvins amd util and nothing seems to work for me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  6. Compaq 615 (AMD CPU) 10.6.4

    i'm pretty sure that for a AMD proc you have to do a fresh install of SL. The good thing is that there are plenty of guides out there of how to do a fresh install of SL with a already 10.5 install. here, here, and here. I have not heard of upgrading from leopard to SL with AMD, but if you find anything don't hesitate to post plz.
  7. ATI HD 5770

    So is it safe to assume that all of these kext for the 5xxx will only work for SL? I'm curently running ideneb v1.6 lite (Leopard 10.5.8) and every single one i've tried has not worked. My specs AMD PII 945 3.2 8gigs ram XFX 5770 1gig GB ga-ma790XT-ud4p OSX86 iDeneb v1.6 lite (OS X 10.5.8)
  8. I also have the same exact mobo, have any of you been able to get sleep to work??? I am on iDeneb 10.6 lite (OSX 10.5.8 with Voodoo 9.5 kernel). I tried qoopz 9.8 but my box would KP when i chose to shut down and sleep still didn't work.
  9. Gigabyte ALC889A input fix (AMD)(WORK IT)

    I'm guessing not many have been successful getting ALC889a to work on a AMD board. Been searching for the past week and have not had any luck. If anyone has any insight on how to get SPDIF working with this chip and board it would be greatly appreciated. All i need is the sound to work to have a perfect hackintosh going. Is not all too bad tho, thanks to the help from this community everything else works great.
  10. Gigabyte ALC889A input fix (AMD)(WORK IT)

    Digital out does not work for me with this method, the sound comes out all choppy and slow and just not bearable, any suggestions? i have the same board as you do on a Phenom II 945
  11. I am on the same boat as everyone else, i had everything working perfect, or at least i thought it was and now i get this panic very often. It use to happen less with cpus=1 then it did with cpus=2 and or not flag for that matter. Or at least i thought it did anyways, but unfortunately it happens the same with or without any cpus=x flag. Any help is greatly appreciated it.
  12. Voodoo 9.5.0 Kernel Panic!?

    you have to replace your seatbelt.kext, search around the forums for if you are using voodoo 9.5.0 i believe you may need the 10.5.6 seatbelt.kext. If you are using a earlier version of the voodoo kernel you may need the 10.5.5 seatbelt.kext. There are alot of threads about this.
  13. ALC883 on 10.5.6 doesnt works

    Does yours work indefinetely, i am using tarugas kext for my alc883 but unfortunately my sounds ceases to work after puttin it to use for about an hour or 2. Is funny that if i leave the computer on all day and night and if i play something after leaving it on for that long the sound works. But if i listen to music continously for about an hour or 2 the sound will stop working, and will not work again until i restart.
  14. Realtek SPDIF alc883?

    have you tried these kext's yet? http://diabolik1605.com/DHF/Taruga/Leopard%20Kexts/ I tried both the .ad2 and the .ad0 and i believe they are the same, at least from what i saw. They work for me partially (but i have a different board ECS NF650iSLiT). The problem i am having is that after some time of using the audio (listening to music) the sound stops working, it starts to crackle, sizzle and pop and just freezes my box until i can quit itunes. I have not found a solution for this yet. If you have not tried those kext yet give them a go and see if they work for you, good luck.
  15. Mouse Pointer jumping iDeneb

    Would you mind being just a bit more specific on what stuff you changed on quicktime. I seem to be having this issue as well and is rather annoying. The curious thing is, it only started to happen once i got both my cores working on my rig. Thanks in advance...
