I just cant seem to get this going right. 10.5 Ideneb installs fine, but I when booting up after the installation I get the "no smoking" sign. I believe its meant to be the introduction video? My pc specs are as follows. mobo; asus pk5-e Quad core intel 2.4 nvidia 9800gt 4gb ram800 Thanks guys/gals. Hagar Posted November 10, 2008 Share Posted November 10, 2008 lesson 1: boot -v *ALWAYS* unless you are 100% happy with the way your machine runs. the fact that you are reporting a "no-smoking sign" shows you haven't done anything like as much reading as you claim, nor as much as you need to. Having said that, chances are that this is a root device error, and the first port of call is to try setting your sata to AHCI in bios. gallent Posted November 11, 2008 Author Share Posted November 11, 2008 The mac is installed on the IDE Drive, not sata. Im pretty dang certian that ive tried -v many times. Thanks for reply, ill give it another try. EDIT: and once again did not work.
