I have a suggestion for an addition to the site's forums.

With the amount of Thank you InsanelyMac topics that I have been seeing around here lately reminded me of something from another forum.

They have "thanks" buttons at the top of every post made by the user so that if they were helpful a user can simply click on that button without needing to actually post something.

This will give those that are very helpful a tally of how many they are helping, it may convince them to try to help even more since they will know how many people are actually benefiting from their work.

It also shows how much they have been thanked at the bottom of the post, this may also allow users to decide if the user is known for being helpful before taking their advice.

This could also reduce some of the posts that are necessarily needed, I think that those that are helpful should be thanked but I'm sure it is considered to be somewhat of a space waster for the forum's gigantic database.

I have done some searching and people have made mods for certain versions of IPB, not knowing what version this forum is using I can't dig too deeply into finding a specific version for this site that could be used. But it has been done.
