Firstly, I'd just like to thank this community for helping me installing os x on my PC. If it weren't for you guys I wouldn't have this on my computer right now.

This was my 2nd attempt at installing osx on my PC. The first time I tried it, I failed miserably (this was about 8 months ago on a old 2.4ghz single core P4). It just wouldn't boot after installation.

I've had my new computer for about 2 months now and just the other day was thinking about if os x would work on the new comp... so I got ideneb 1.3 and gave it a shot.

In the customize part of the installation I only used the nvinject driver, jmicron driver and one of the kernals (i forget what it was called.. but it was the top one in the list)

It then took about 5 minutes to install.

I only had one problem when I booted (no audio) but that was quickly patched with the p35-ds3 driver someone on this forum made.

Since then I've not had one little problem.. all of the programs work great... it shuts down in less then 5 seconds.... boots to the desktop within 30 seconds of pushing the power button on my pc... restarts fine.... wakes up from sleep fine. hasn't even hung, froze for a little bit or anything.

I just need to know if there are some tests I can run or something that will show me some faults (if I have any) so I can work at fixing them or so I can sleep easy knowing that it's fine and that I can run it as my lone OS.

fyi my setup is..

ga p35-ds3 motherboard

intel dual core e8400 @ 4.0ghz

2gb corsair ddr800

nvidia 8800 gts 512

Hmm just wondering.. do your clock work fine? I mean.. after a long time, does it keep track of time without desyncing? I had this problem and I heard it was because my cpu is a 45nm one (and so is yours) and because I overclocked (and so did you)

so.. how is it?

another problem that I had is the support of IDE drives (if you have any) my installation does not fully support my ide drive, making the OS randomly crash if I let the ide drive mounted for a long time. But I think this is because I have 4gb.

I have no idea if there's a way to "scan" for possible problems with your os x.. but I thought I should tell you about my personnal experiences..

nice mobo btw

I've had it installed for 3 days and the clock is still in sync.. sounds like a weird problem to have!

I have a couple of IDE drives and a SATA... they are all working fine at the moment. even moved a 40gb folder from one to the other so if i was going to have problems I probably would have found out about it then I guess.
