piclab
Hi all, Sorry for noobitude and light english… The card is new. Installation was fine on an freshy Ideneb 1.3 10.5.5 instal with latest Nvinject. Quartz enabling was fine too. But a few hours later, computer was freezed. So I've rebooted, and here is the aaaaaaaaarghhhhhhhhh! Display on reboot show lots of yellow lines on first boot screen. Second black screen show lots of anarchic characters. And finaly, the apple gray loading screen show vertical yellow lines, and crash after 20-30 sec… When I plug back my old 7300GT 256Mo, all working fine (except that she has never worked 100%: color artefacts and strange menus. Worked fine on Kalyway 10.5.2.) So, is my freshy new buyed 8500GT burned ??? Can I send it back and ask for another one of the same model? Any advice welcomed. Thanks for all. Donw35
depending on the vendor you should be able to return it, might have had a part on it go thermal. Did you put it back in to see if it works, sometimes removing and re installing works. I use the 8500GT 512 with OSX and find it to be one of the best cards for all around use.
