So I burned a copy of iDeneb 1.3, partitioned, booted into the dvd and everything goes well until I need to pick my specific chipset / drivers etc. Even when I think it's correct after the install I just get a gray screen with an apple logo afterwards, or I end up picking other chipset / drivers and getting an error screen.

Which specific configuration settings should I choose for my laptop, an Asus G50-V1.

Nope I would like these guys here to try to help us out. This is a very popular notebook whats up guys ?

I wouldn't think it would be too hard to get it going, the laptop runs a PM45 Intel Chipset and uses a NVIDIA 9700/9800GS.

I just am no good at driver support or any of that or I would do it myself.

But yes, these are very popular laptops, amazing specs for the price. I really want to dual boot with Vista and OS X.

i have a Asus G50V-A2 dual booted with Windows 7 Ultimate x64/iATKOS v7 Mac OS X 10.5.7 x86 and this is what i posted with my settings. I tried the iDeneb flavors, but they wouldn't boot after a complete install. After days of experiments and downloading different flavors/distros while experimenting, i got iATKOS v7 and it kept rebooting when booting from the dvd. So i did the -x cpus=1 to boot to the disk, formatted the drive, and then chose these settings: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...p;#entry1583081
