sil3noz Posted November 6, 2008 Share Posted November 6, 2008 hi! im tryin to install leo4all v4 but i've got some problems during the installation... the last message i read is fixenetflowcontrol - flow control is disabled. and then a looping still waiting for root device. can you say me what's the problem and how can i solve it? this is my config: motherboard asus m2v-mx chipset VIA K8M890 cpu amd x2 3600+ video asus en7300tc 256mb (nVidia GeForce 7300) hd and dvd ide. i tried different master/slave solutions for the hd - dvd but i have the same error everytime: still waiting for root device. please guys....help me! MacNutty Posted November 6, 2008 Share Posted November 6, 2008 Which distro are you using? The problem is with your IDE drive many distro do not support booting from IDE drives. Either get an external DVD drive (USB) or you can use iDeneb 10.5.5 as it has support for booting from IDE drives. sil3noz Posted November 6, 2008 Author Share Posted November 6, 2008 hi MacNutty im was tryin with leo for all, v3 and v4. i just tried with zepyroth and the problem is the same! now, im downloading iDeneb cause unfortunately i haven't an external dvd and the usb key is broken... i hope this release will work for me! sil3noz Posted November 10, 2008 Author Share Posted November 10, 2008 ok! ideneb seems to work for me! the installation was right...the configuration ok... but now, when i start osx..im stuck on a blue screen with the mouse cursor...nothing else. if i press f9 or f10 the cursor change and become a little hand.. can you help me to solve this (i hope) last problem? Try rebooting with -v -x and then sort the correct video driver kext for your system.... sil3noz Posted November 10, 2008 Author Share Posted November 10, 2008 hi verdant, thanks a lot for the advice with -v -x i have the login but after that the same problem, a blue screen with the cursor. i also tried to boot with -s and...it works, i can see the bar and the dock, but osx is completely stuck in a infinite loading!
