prodeguerriero
Hi, my question is simple, but I don't know if there is an answer to it. I have 3 HD for a total of 7 partition. I'd like to see on desktop only the partitions of the first HD. Is there a way to do that? Or is it possible to deactivate one of the SATA channels, so that it is not mounted on startup? I know how to do that in Windows, but not in Leo. Thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/134945-avoid-mounting-hd-partition-on-startup-is-it-possible/ Share on other sites

Here's a quick description of how to do that with a Windows "Boot Camp" partition -- it's basically the same premise, just make multiple lines, all of which have the unique UUID of each parition you'd like not to mount; also be sure you define the filesystem correctly. If these are HFS+ formatted partitions you'll need to include that in the line in fstab.conf Hiding NTFS Partitions (Boot Camp) -P2 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/134945-avoid-mounting-hd-partition-on-startup-is-it-possible/#findComment-957528 Share on other sites
