External eSATA drive not recognized

Hi all..

My hackintosh is working well except for this problem.. I have final cut pro 6 loaded and working well I can capture and edit high def video.. Problem is I just got a new external eSATA hard drive to handle my video files and the mac is not recognizing this drive..

Any help? How can I get my machine to recognize this drive?
