whelderwheels613
Hi. I have been having problems with my SATA drive being detected my iDeneb before and after installation. It wouldn't detect it during installation, or after when i installed the drivers. I tried installing the AHCIPort.kext but that did not fix anything. I have a Core 2 Duo E2140, an Asrock 4CoreDual-SATA2, A Radeon X1550 AGP, A Western Digital IDE hard drive, 1gb DDR2 667mhz. When I boot up in the Linux Live CD, the hard drive is detected so it must be a problem with OSX. Any help would be appreciated. Also I have iDeneb 10.5.5 installed with the 9.2 kernel. hecker
Is the drive connected to a MASTER port? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/134555-sata-problems/#findComment-953592 Share on other sites
whelderwheels613
There are no master/slave ports with SATA I believe. Its not the ribbon cable type hardrive, its (usually) a small red cable connected to one drive and the motherboard, nothing else.
