benneque
Hi! I'm new here, new to OSX and of course new to Hackint0sh I've got a few questions: I read that it is possible to install osx using the original osx disc. I found boot-132 and PC EFI. The last option sounds fine, but i still don't know how it works. On my HDD there's Vista and Gentoo Linux (using GRUB for booting). I want to install osx on this HDD, too. So I (!!!) thought about it the following way: create a partition for osx, on this partition there's the pc efi to make osx feel like it's running on a mac. My problem now is. How can I install osx from dvd ? My PC should first load grub, there i select the pc efi to load, and then the dvd should load. Is that possible or how have i to do it ? I hope someone understands what i want... Thanks! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/134475-which-bootloader-and-how-to-install-it/ Share on other sites
MacNutty
I think you should use Darwin Boot loader it will show you all partitions available on your HDD for booting. caenis
i have a similar setup.. i have ubuntu and leopard on drive 2 and vista on drive 1. grub boots up since it is on hd0, not hd0,1 or hd1 where ubuntu is at. Linux finds the vista but you have to add an entry for leopard.
