mitch_de
Yeah that works (avoid older "JM 64 Bit fixed downloads or JM patches from OSX86 DVDs- they didnt work really!) More easier: http://code.google.com/p/darwin-ata/downloads/list here are always the newest JM and newest AppleVIA ( both fixes > 3 GB RAM problems!) With that JM (0.6) you have no more problems using more RAM (using not fixed jm.kexts: kernel panic or very instable system). This is an solution if you dont want / cant switch to SATA (AHCI) Only. madhias
Ok, I´ve installed the newer Version of JMicron.kext from the Goolge Source Code Page above and my DVD Drive works now! Nice! Thanks, i wanted to buy since a year or so a new SATA Writer with Lightscribe, but now my old good working IDE LiteOn has to do his job even longer Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/133843-where-do-i-find-jmicronatakext/#findComment-952396 Share on other sites
