byke
Hi there, I have given up on the latest macbooks because of price or functions. Basically the MBA is too exspensive and a can of worms, and the macbooks screen sucks. So rather than pay through the nose, I have decided I will try a hackintosh instead. My main objectives is to have a traveling/holiday laptop for the train : I would like a 10 or 11 inch screen (no larger) Movies (not on dvd format) Hard drive doesnt need to be over 60gigs internet (wifi & rj45) ichat skype email webcam preferably not to heavy So is there any hardware out there that osx 86 runs best on? cheers
trance4jim
search in google: msi wind osx86 look for a forum for the wind netbook.there are guides on there. There is an iso custom for the wind. Also, certain users from here are working on a custom boot-32 install dvd. I personally haven't installed on a wind yet but it is confirmed to work pretty well except headphone/mic jack. You should do more research before posting such a basic question. Try googling a little more before posting.

Thanks for the tip, However as a "newbie poster on here" I don't think a reply demanded such a response. Since the MSI Wind at present doesn't support sound & mic etc. It doesn't fulfill my needs as Movies & iChat (Video or voice) wont work with OSX86 at present. And this is why I came on here to hear suggestions and to put forth a list of needs to see if anyone had any suggestions that I hadn't already looked at. So I will thank you for your response in terms of trying. But please read the thread properly first before before making such non relevant critical remarks. ATM they are ongoing efforts to solve the audio driver issue. Stickman glad to hear that.Does headphone out work too? Sorry if I sounded rude but I'm in the same boat as you. From what i found, the Wind is superior in boot speed to the Acer One. Also, I found a large community for the Msi Wind which is very important. Check out the Msi Wind Forum and see.
