npereira
Hello All, I have a Asus A8N-VM CSM MoBo with an AMD 3200+, on-board Video (nforce?). I was able to install OS X Lepeard 10.5.2 using one of the guides here from Devil. I had to upgrade my bios to 1007 and the install went fine. When I bootup, I get the darwin loader, and have the choice to load either XP (partition 1) or OS X (partition 2). Selecting Partition2 loads and bring a page with the Apple logo and a spinning circle bellow it. It stays there indefenitly. Since im not in front of my home PC now, actualy at work, I wanted to know what I could do when I get home? I read somewhere that in that screen if I press F8 continously, I will get to the boot: prompt and maybe able to do something from there, but don't know what. Is this a common issue? If so, what could I start by doing? Re-install and no select anything in the customize screen? Thanks for any help you can provide.
hidden_premise
Try boot -v and seeing where the system is hanging. Try using another kernel.
